Alvin opened the door slightly and he quietly watched with Theodore, Madame Medusa, Darla and Victoria handing Felicity a huge bundle of clothes. The golden dressed girl held the pile and stayed in the room for further instructions, though she quietly hoped that would be all she would have to do.

"And Felicity." Madame Medusa spoke up.

"Yes?" Felicity asked.

"When you're through and before you begin your other chores such as bathing Tom, I have a few little things."

"Very well." Felicity went out the door, to quickly do the laundry so she would still have time to go to the party.

"Mother, I don't see why anybody else seems to have nice things to wear and I always end up in rags like these ribbons!" Victoria threw down her blue ribbon colored hair ribbons to the floor with the chipmunks watching.

"You should take these beads!" Darla took out one of her white pearl necklaces and threw it down with the ribbons. "I'm sick of looking at them! Such trash!"

Darla and Victoria then left, slamming the door behind them. The chipmunks then moved close to the floor to pick up the leftover accessories. They hoped that maybe Felicity could use them for her dress.

"Come on, now be careful." Alvin whispered as he walked out.

"Okay, real careful." Theodore nodded and followed.

"Si, stay here and keep watch." Alvin whispered to the wisest chipmunk.

"Right." Simon saluted as Alvin and Theodore snuck off.

The chipmunks carefully tip toed and tried to be extra careful as they noticed Tom was nuzzled in his pillow, taking another nap. Alvin and Theodore then made way for Victoria's ribbons.

"We can use that pearl necklace." Alvin whispered.

"It's pretty!" Theodore beamed, but Alvin put his paw on the youngest chipmunk's mouth.

"Quiet, remember, we are not alone." Alvin pointed to Tom, still fast asleep.

The two chipmunks then carefully lifted the ribbons. Tom let out a little yawn and looked down to see Victoria's ribbon moving across the floor. He was surprised to see it move on its own, but after a smash, he saw that it had been Alvin and Theodore! Tom chased the chipmunks, but they thought cleverly and ran into their hole hideout, fooling and hurting the sneaky cat. Tom grumbled to himself and prepared himself for if the chipmunks came back and he would have a snack.

Theodore noticed they still had to get the necklace, but Alvin hushed him. They did need the beads, but it might not be as easy since Tom knows about their little plans. Tom then planted his rear end on the necklace to prevent the chipmunks from swiping it to help Felicity. Alvin snapped his fingers in failure, but then his eyes lit up as he thought up a plan and whispered the plan to Theodore. Tom watched them, wondering what they could be talking about, but he was left out.

Alvin walked along innocently by the cat and pulled a few buttons out from a tossed down piece of clothing. Tom noticed Alvin wasn't moving, even if he saw the greedy cat a few times. Tom then decided to go after him since the chipmunk seemed clueless. Tom then looked from the corner of his eye and saw Theodore trying to snatch the necklace. He then backed away and sat back down on the necklace and Theodore rushed back to a pillar.

Alvin hummed to himself as he took out some more buttons as a distraction to Tom. The cat licked his lips with hunger and he scooted his butt along the floor with the necklace beads attached against him as he tried to devour Alvin. The red clothed chipmunk looked up, pressed a button down with another and made the button hit Tom on the nose!

Tom hissed with anger and chased Alvin as the chipmunk jumped into a pile of clothes to hide out. Theodore then quickly moved from his hiding spot and quickly gathered the necklace to take back upstairs as Tom looked through the clothes for the sneaky chipmunk. Theodore was close to back at his spot, but he tripped and the necklace beads scattered all over the floor and made a huge mess! Tom then turned back and got eager as he noticed the chubby chipmunk was trapped by his own failure.

Theodore gathered the beads together while Alvin was trying to help him out. Tom came close for the two of them, but Alvin picked up Theodore as he gathered the beads and the two chipmunks were back in the hole, causing the chipmunk to hit his forehead against the wall and knock him near unconscious. The chipmunks then quickly went back upstairs with the others as they won this round between cat and chipmunk.

Back at Felicity's room, the other chipmunks and woodpeckers went to continue making the orphan girl's dress for tonight's celebration.

Chorus: A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep

Woody and Winnie held measuring tape as Vinny read the inches. The chipettes then did the lines for her.

Chorus: In dreams you will lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep

Brittany held her skirt safe as Alvin and Theodore used the scissors around her.

Chorus: Have faith in your dreams
And someday
No matter how your heart is grieving

Winnie, Woody, Knothead and Splinter flew up, holding threads. While they did that, Alvin and Theodore put the pins in for the dress.

Theodore: If you keep on believing

Alvin: The dreams that you wish will come true

Winnie and Splinter began to sew the dress up. As the Chipmunks gathered up thread, Woody told Eleanor how many inches they needed. She nodded her head and began to count out.

"Okay," the blonde chipmunk girl said. "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight-"

After Eleanor counted the laces, the woodpeckers picked them up. Alvin and Theodore gathered the thread and signaled the woodpeckers.

"Alright," Vinny gave a thumbs up. She then signaled Woody and Winnie to fly and pick up the thread.

Woody and Winnie did as they were told and picked up the thread with their flight. Simon picked up the thread and Jeanette slid the best she could through the tiny hole of the needle. Charlene then tied the ribbons from Victoria and she made the perfect knot!
